As with all types and brands of contact lenses, care should be taken when applying make-up and other cosmetic products when you’re wearing daysoft daily disposable contact lenses… and not just with the obvious things like eyeliner & mascara; hairspray & nail varnishes and so on, should all be applied with care

DO

  1. apply make-up sparingly after inserting your contact lenses.
  2. only put make-up on the outer part of your eyelid.
  3. remove your contact lenses before taking off your make-up.
  4. use oil-free hypo-allergenic make-up remover.
  5. remove your daysoft contact lens immediately, if you get make-up on it. then start over with a new one.
  6. use oil and fragrance-free make-up.
  7. use water-proof, non-oily mascara for less flaking.
  8. avoid mascara with lash-building fibres.
  9. renew your mascara and eyeliner at least every 6 months.
  10. consult your eyecare practitioner if you experience any irritation, redness or pain associated with contact lens wear.

DON'T

  1. apply cosmetics if you think you have an eye infection.
  2. let make-up come in contact with your contact lenses.
  3. use water or saliva to lubricate make-up applicators.
  4. apply eyeliner to the inner part of your eyelid.
  5. use make-up containing glitter when wearing contact lenses.
  6. use oil-based make-up removers.
  7. use make-up with preservatives if you have any allergies.
  8. share cosmetics.
  9. expose your make-up to excessive heat.
  10. use aerosols (with eyes open) when wearing contact lenses.
